Notice is hereby given that in accordance with Rule 22.1, of the Trinidad Building and Loan Association a Special Meeting will be held at the Head Office of the Association at 89 Queen Janelle Commissiong Street, Port-of-Spain on Thursday 23rd September, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. to consider and approve the following amendments to the existing Rules of the Trinidad Building and Loan Association.
Current
- Article 9 (Meetings) – Rule 9.6 (voting)
9.6 Save for minors every member of the Association (not being in arrear) holding shares for at least three (3) months prior to the meeting shall be entitled to vote. No member shall vote on any question concerning his personal conduct or affairs. The voting on any question shall in the first instance be by a show of hands unless otherwise herein provided but should any five (5) members present immediately demand a ballot, it shall be taken at once on the following Schedule.
Proposed Amendment

No member shall vote on any question concerning his personal conduct or affairs. At all meetings of the Association ten (10) members present in person inclusive of the Directors, shall form a quorum.

At all meetings of the Association ten (10) members present inclusive of Directors, shall form a quorum.

Kindly be informed that a copy of the proposed amendments to the Rules to be considered at that meeting may be obtained at the Association’s office.
Copies will also be available on the day of the Meeting.
A bonafide member entitled to attend and vote at the meeting is entitled, subject to Rule 9.8 of the Rules of the Association, to appoint a proxy to attend and vote in his stead. A proxy must also be a member of the Association.
